SAF is not dead.

Transition to Battlefield 2142

SAF has now transitioned to Battlefield 2142 completely. Our main focus will now be on Battlefield 2142 while Battlefield 2 will be relegated to the likes of Battlefield 1942 and Vietnam unless there is an important competition for this game.

Moving ahead, we have several surprises in store for everyone, so stay tuned!

BF 2142 Competiton

SAF will be sending two teams, an elite team and a line team. The Elites comprises entirely of the SAF's finest players. The Line team is made up of Senior members of SAF and junior members as well as recruits for a baptism of fire.

3rd Prize
BF2142 Mugs and Lanyards worth S$100, and 3-month reserve slots on Fragnetics public servers worth S$200.

Hi Guys,

Fragnetics will hold an online BF2142 competition from 17 - 19 November (Fri - Sun). Prizes are generously sponsored by EA, and winners from the online competition will be flown to Taiwan from 30 November to 2 December. The winning team will represent our region to compete against top teams from around the world.

The complete plan, terms and conditions, and competition signup page will be available in the next few days. However, the tentative plan is as follows:


1. There will be a maximum of 12 teams consisting of 8 members and 2 reserves in the competition. All residents of Singapore and Malaysia are eligible for the competition. Sign-ups from outside of the region are welcome. However, only residents in Singapore and Malaysia may qualify for the top prize, and external teams may only compete if there are fewer than 12 teams registered from Singapore and Malaysia.

2. The registration fee per team is S$40. This fee is waived if at least 4 players from the team have BF2142 reserve slots registered with Fragnetics. Each BF2142 game server subscriber may also send 2 teams without cost. Game servers and reserve slots will be used as collateral for the competition, and will only be revoked in the case of a no-show.

3. Teams will play a total of 2 maps, each selected by a respective team. The opposing team will have the choice of which side they will join. A third map will be played as a tiebreaker if both teams win 1 match each. The third map will be decided by the marshal.

4. The competition will be played in a single elimination format. The final 3 teams will play a round-robin to determine the winner.

5. The schedule for the tournament is as follows:

Round 1 (Matches 1, 2, and 3): 17 November, Friday: 8pm
Round 1 (Matches 4, 5, and 6): 17 November, Friday: 10pm

Round 2 (Matches 7 and 8 ): 18 November, Saturday: 8pm
Round 2 (Match 9): 18 November, Saturday: 10pm

Finals (Finalist A vs Finalist B): 19 November, Sunday: 4pm
Finals (Finalist A vs Finalist C): 19 November, Sunday: 6pm

6. As timing is very tight, the winning team must be responsible for obtaining the necessary Visas if they wish to make the trip.

Fragnetics Battlefield 2142 Competition

Gentlemen and Ladies(if it applies), Fragnetics has organised the first Battlefield 2142 competition, right here in Singapore. This competition will take place online between local clans and players. SAF will be taking part and we look forward to meet any potential adversaries. Hope to see you on the battlefield!

Restructuring

The roster has been thoroughly updated due to some internal restructuring and reshuffling.

The Elites section will be merged back with the social division.
