Special Assault Force, or SAF, was founded in
October 2003 by Eagle 1. with
MachoMonster as his right-hand man. The founding members were mostly
Eagle 1's family and friends.
While Battlefield 1942 and Battlefield Vietnam was in their heydays, SAF slowly rose to prominence, recruiting players with potential into our clan. Through the friendly matches and scrims that we played with other clans, we improved ourselves.
This legacy continued when Battlefield 2 was released in June 2005. During the launch tournament organised by E-Games Cineleisure and GameAxis, we emerged the champion, beating favourites [Bf.Nut]. In late 2005, SAF launched its own competitive team, lead by Freekill, to participate in the BF2 World Tournament.
Today, we are one of the largest and prominent Battlefield clans in Singapore.
